The Yellow Hummer by Ivet Graham-Morgan

A shiny yellow Hummer! It is a gift that would please any little boy, and Jordan is excited to show it to his beloved grandmother. But a terrible mishap occurs, and Jordan is very sad - that is, until he makes a very important discovery. Are things more important than people? It is a lesson that will stay with him.

Ivet Graham-Morgan has had fulfilling careers in education, banking, and law enforcement, but she has always been a writer at heart. Finding herself in the role of single parent, she was unable to follow that career path until she reached her sunset years. Now, surrounded by her children and grandchildren, with the luxury of free time, Ivet has returned to her first love - writing - and she especially loves writing stories for her grandchildren.

This is an awesome little book, written by a grandmother who knows how to teach children important life lessons in terms they can easily relate to. Jordan received his very best Christmas present ever, and can't wait to start playing with his bright yellow remote control Hummer. But unfortunately, something drastic happens and the Hummer is broken beyond repair. His first reaction was to be angry with his grandma, and I am sure she was devastated as well.

Everything turns around when Jordan chooses to put his relationship with his grandma before his beloved toy, and his forgiveness towards her is a valuable lesson that all kids need to learn.

The vibrant illustrations in this book will definitely capture the attention of children of all ages. This book would be a great addition to any children's library, and I can't wait to share it with my grandchildren!
