Uncertain Heart by Andrea Boeshaar

The year is 1866, and Sarah McCabe has wanderlust. In an effort to become independent of her family back in Missouri, she accepts a governess position in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Richard Navis is a man determined to finish his indentureship to Captain Brian Sinclair and take over his family's farm. But when he falls in love with Sarah, his homesteading goals blur. What's more, Richard fears she's fallen victim to the captain's charm and persuasion.

I thoroughly enjoyed Unwilling Warrior, the first book in the Seasons of Redemption series. Uncertain Heart continues the story of the McCabe family from Missouri.

Sarah is the younger sister of three overly protective brothers and this is her journey to find her own destiny and place in the world. Working as a governess in Wisconsin for four children who have lost their mother, Sarah quickly falls in love with the children and with living in the Sinclair's mansion.

Sarah's heart is captured by the dashing captain and all he has to offer. She also has found a special friendship with Richard Navis, the young assistant to Mr. Sinclair. Her heart is telling her one thing, but her head is leading her another direction. When Sarah's reputation is questioned, Richard comes up with a plan to protect Sarah. But is it too late?

Uncertain Heart is a great story that deals with making the correct choices, following God's leading, and the love and faithfulness of friends and family. I highly recommend the entire Seasons of Redemption series and look forward to the next book Unexpected Love, which is scheduled for release in January 2011.

I received this book as part of a FIRST blog tour, but the book arrived after the scheduled tour date.

Special thanks to Anna Coelho Silva | Publicity Coordinator, Book Group | Strang Communications for sending me a review copy.
