An Unlikely Suitor is a great historical romance that shows what happens when a man and woman fall in love when they come from totally different backgrounds and social standing in the community. Rowena, Lucy and Sofia all have incredible hurdles to climb, and their journeys are fascinating although difficult.
My favourite character from the book is definitely Lucy. She consistently took matters into her own hands, and didn't back down even when things got rough. Her first priority was always to take care of others, even if it cost her dearly. I loved Lucy's humility, and she is the type of character that could easily become a best friend in real life.
An Unlikely Suitor is the first book I have read by Nancy Moser, and I will definitely be looking for other books written by this author.
