Christmas is fast approaching, and nothing gets me in the holiday mood more than a "feel good" Christmas story. Susan May Warren is a master story teller, and she has done it again with her latest Christmas story that takes place in the late 1940's.
Dottie lost her son in the war, and she simply doesn't feel like celebrating Christmas, or any other holidays either. She was planning to spend another quiet and lonely holiday in her home, all by herself as usual. But a Christmas storm brings four strangers to her doorstep, and she is forced to offer hospitality to them, even though her heart doesn't want to.
Dottie comes face to face with her own past as these strangers in her home spend Christmas together. Each have their own struggles and reasons for their lack of enthusiasm about the holidays, but they must band together to save a life and make happy memories for a little boy.
For a cozy holiday tale, I highly recommend Baby, It's Cold Outside.
