Lady Outlaw by Stacy Henrie

No one would ever imagine a fresh-faced young woman could be robbing stage bandits of their ill-gotten fortunes. But Jennie Jones is desperate to save her family's ranch from foreclosure. And the risks seem worth it, until her upright new ranch hand offers a glimpse of how much is really at stake.

Former bounty hunter Caleb Johnson is ready for a new, clean start. With a woman like Jennie, he could build a future there in Utah territory. But only if his gentle faith can guide her in a choice between the land she's fought so hard to save and a future by his side.

Stacy Henrie has always had an avid appetite for history, fiction and chocolate. While she had a goal to write and publish a book one day, she turned her attentions first to graduating with a bachelor's degree in public relations. Not long after, she switched from writing press releases and newsletters to writing inspirational historical romances as a stay-at-home mom. Stacy loves reading, interior decorating, romantic movies, and most of all, laughing with her husband and three kids. She appreciates the chance to live out history through her characters, while enjoying all the modern conveniences of life in the 21st century. Find out more at

Women in historical novels are often portrayed as helpless and totally dependent on their men. In Lady Outlaw, Jennie is a heroine with a difference. She is far from helpless, and she is determined to take care of her family no matter what the cost. Imagine a young woman single-handedly robbing bandits who have targeted and robbed stage coaches, and then making off with the loot.

Caleb is the kind of leading man that almost makes a woman drool. He is sweet, hardworking and the first interaction he has with Jennie sets the tone for their relationship. Jennie knocked over a display of candy sticks and leaves a shattered mess of broken glass and crumbled candy. Caleb gallantly comes to her rescue, scoops up any salvageable candy, and he pays for the damages. Jennie reluctantly accepts his kindness, as she doesn't have the resources to pay for it herself.

Jennie seems to get herself in one dangerous situation after another, and Caleb comes to her rescue time after time. Even though she doesn't want to admit it, the handsome cowboy is slowly working his way into her heart. There is danger, romance, humor and cowboys ... and what more can a girl ask for?

Stacy Henrie, congratulations on publishing this great debut novel. I can't wait to see what you come up with next!!
