Coming from a quilting family myself, I could easily relate to the character's fascination with the history surrounding the Moses quilt. The part that really intrigued me was how Mazie and Edward were challenged to look at their own prejudices and the uncertainties in their relationship.
The mystery, romance and personal soul-searching interwoven in this story captured my attention and made me look at my own heart, and I wonder how I would feel in a similar situation.
I highly recommend The Moses Quilt, and can't wait to read the next book in this series.

This really looks like a fascinating series. Thanks for introducing it to me. Wouldn't mind reviewing it myself...but alas, I don't do facebook.
