One moment of temptation and weakness can have devastating and long-lasting effects in any relationship. In Devotion by Marianne Evans, we get a first row seat in how even a great marriage can be destroyed immediately. Rebuilding trust and reconciliation between Kellen and Juliet looks next to impossible.

Both Kellen and Juliet have a strong faith in God, but one defining moment is tearing their family and their dreams apart. I loved how Kellen took full responsibility, and did everything humanly possible to make things right. I also loved how his relationship with God also became stronger during the really rough times. He knew where to turn for strength, when he couldn't do it on his own.

Devotion is a beautiful example of how relationships can be mended and trust rebuilt. Forgiveness and unconditional love are major components of this great story, and it's a great choice for book club and group discussions.
