Pilgrimage of Promise by Cathy Bryant

Broken promises, enduring love…

A dusty stack of unopened love letters forces Bo and Mona Beth Miller to revisit a part of their past they’d rather leave buried–especially in the face of death. Only as they retrace history will they learn the truth about the shattered promise that threatens to come between them. But can their relationship endure the deception and sabotage they unearth, or will the experience compel them to trust more fully in the promises that never fail?

Cathy Bryant’s first completed novel, TEXAS ROADS, was a 2009 ACFW Genesis finalist. In 2010, Cathy added A PATH LESS TRAVELED to the Miller’s Creek novels, and THE WAY OF GRACE became available in 2012. PILGRIMAGE OF PROMISE, the story of Mama Beth, is the latest addition to the Miller’s Creek novels. Cathy, a native Texan, currently resides in Northwest Arkansas near the world’s cutest grandson and granddaughter, but will soon be moving to New Mexico. I am a huge Cathy Bryant fan, and have followed the Miller's Creek novels from the very beginning. This brand new novel titled Pilgrimage of Promise continues the story of my favourite characters in the entire series, but could also be enjoyed as a stand-alone novel.

Bo and Mona Beth have the type of marriage that we all long for. However, they traveled through many unfortunate and lonely years before they finally found each other. Many years earlier it seemed that heartache, loss, broken promises and dreams dominated their lives.

We all know that death is a certainty in our lives. Unfortunately, sometimes we aren't quite ready to say goodbye when the time comes. Bo and Mona Beth have some unsettled matters from their past, and a stack of letters might be their last chance to find healing and final resolution ... before it's too late.

The tears were flowing while I read this book, but it was also very healing for me to read the assurances and promises that I need in my life right now.

Thank you, dear Cathy, for another amazing book!
