Elusive Hope by MaryLu Tyndall

Book description:

Embark on an exotic adventure in Book 2 of the Escape to Paradise series from bestselling author MaryLu Tyndall. In the fledgling colony of New Hope, their friends struggle to create a Southern utopia in Brazil soon after the Civil War. But Hayden is seeking revenge—relentlessly. And Magnolia is seeking a way out—desperately. They both seek to use the other for their own purposes—deceptively. Falling in love was never part of their plans. . . .

My thoughts:

Following Forsaken Dreams, now comes this great second novel in the Escape to Paradise series titled Elusive Hope.

Magnolia is the typical and somewhat spoiled daughter of a wealthy plantation owner, but the family has lost everything. In one last desperate attempt to regain the family's fortune and their place in society, they embark on a journey to Brazil. Magnolia is furious with her parents and determined to escape back to the old way of life in America.

Her only way of escape seems to be continually connected to Hayden, the only man that she loves to hate ... and the feeling is totally mutual. Traipsing through the jungle together is a way to get to know everything about another person, the good and the ugly.

Hayden has an ulterior motive for coming to Brazil, and he is not willing to be side tracked in his mission. Even when the annoying Magnolia starts to get under his skin and into his heart, he tries to ignore the feelings.

I highly recommend this great new series by MaryLu Tyndall. I loved both books.
